Game rules
- No teleports in loot rooms.
- A point of interest (POI) is any structure containing lootable items. Basically, it is one of the prefab buildings or areas that are part of the map.
- Modifying is defined as digging, destroying, land claiming, building, or placing items.
- Looting player bases or equipment is not allowed — even if they haven't put up walls or locked their containers yet. Harvesting another player's crops or other harvestable structures without permission is considered stealing.
- Modifying commercial, industrial, special, or other high-value POIs is not allowed. You may modify houses outside city regions that don't have loot chests, lots of bookshelves, or lots of high-value loot containers.
- You may only use a POI for horde night if you have a quest that will reset the POI, and you reset the POI after horde night is over. Or, the POI is inside a reset region.
- Modifying or blocking roads is not allowed. You may modify the gravel driveway of your POI inside you landclaim as long you don't effect the main roads.
- Modifying anything within the same region or within 250 blocks of the Lobby, other community buildings, cities, or towns is not allowed.
- Reset regions are protected areas of the map that you must avoid building in. These regions get completely reset back to their original condition on a regular basis, erasing all player-placed items/alterations/vehicles, to keep the world fresh for our large player base. Type $map in the chat window for a link to the web-based map showing where you can safely build.
- You may use the stations and fuel in the Lobby. Taking fuel, station attachments, or tools from the Lobby is stealing.
- The Lobby area is not a base — do not stay there during a horde. The lobby area is protected from hostiles and the rapid despawning during horde night causes the server to lag or crash. If you do this, you will be banned.
- Traders are off limits to strip and tear down. Harvesting crops and looting containers is fine, but taking farm plots, seeds, or scrapping assets is not allowed — these are shared resources and must be left intact. (Razor, Anna, Caitlin, and Eve are included in this for Darkness Falls specifically.)
- Plant all trees far enough apart that their leaves avoid touching or overlapping — regular trees need at least 11 blocks between them, fruit trees at least 4 blocks.
- Please be careful with water. It flows freely and will cover large areas, causing map corruption if not contained. Only use water for farms, and use the least amount possible.
- Type $help in the chat window for a list of available commands.
- There's a known bug in how 7 Days handles the imposter mesh of larger builds, which can lead to region corruption. To avoid this, builds should stay under 100x100x100 blocks. As a result, you can't have more than 4 land claims together, and the largest build can only be 2x2 land claims — everything must stay at or below 100x100x100 blocks. This should improve map stability and give everyone a better experience.
